I went through a period where I was obsessed with colored or patterned pants. Although I really love the J Brand waxed denims, I don’t own a pair… yet. I’m not sure if I can justify spending $200+ on a trend, although I would probably be able to wear them forever more, depending on the color. I did manage to find a pair of pink pants at Urban Outfitters during the holidays though. For $19.99. I don’t mean to toot my own horn (that was a lie) but I’m a @#$%ing awesome shopper, sometimes. I’m seeing a lot of pastels rolling in for Spring and I’d love a pair of denim in mint green, lavender or creamsicle. Forever 21 seems to have some, but the quality and fit is always a hit or miss for me. Have you guys seen pastel denims elsewhere?

This is me “running my hands through my hair.” Gawd, I’m sexy.

Hi bunnies. :) I’m in Vegas right now for work, attending the Market trade show. Vegas for work? Yes, but it’s not the same as going to Vegas for pleasure. I’ve been to Vegas enough times. I think I need to go somewhere else. Dear work, please send me somewhere else. Thank you.

We flew in on Saturday and had a night out — eating, drinking, dancing, eating — followed by really fast sleeping. Aka, passing out. I was pretty excited to wear the new H&M dress I bought a few days before my trip. Yes, I shopped. But it was only $35. And it’s cute… right?

Earlier this evening, I decided that it would be a good idea to have a small bite before bed. Being tired and lazy, I pulled on a pair of leggings and wandered to the cafe downstairs with my wallet and phone. As I got off the elevator, I felt something touching my leg. I stopped and turned to see what it was. Nothing. I scanned the floor further. There it was. A foot away. Lying on the floor. My fcking underwear. Too embarrassed to think, I frantically picked it up and shoved it into my leggings.

My underwear got stuck to my leggings in my suitcase, and managed to make it down the hall, into the elevator and across the casino floor with me. Yeah it did.

it takes effort to make effortless

As I’m lying here on the couch in my most gangster slouch, engulfed in a giant blanket with the Canucks on, my mind is blank. I feel nothing. Actually, I feel pretty tired. And my brain also feels like mashed potatoes. I don’t think mashed potatoes have feelings, nor do they think. So that brings me back to my first point: my mind is blank.

Considering that I’m in the middle of writing a blog post, a blank mind is not ideal. But regardless of how thoughtless my brain is, words are autonomously forming from my fingers and being transposed onto the screen. Wow, this is boring. I’m sorry.

This is one of my favorite outfits so far. It’s casual and it’s comfortable. I’ve always been a big fan of “effortless looks.” The kind where you feel like they just grabbed whatever was on the floor but still manages to look good. (Although in my case, I tried.) Not to mention, my H&M jeggings cost $15, my denim jacket is from highschool, and I’m wearing the most versatile booties I’ve ever bought. It doesn’t get much better than that.

Do you like the effortless look?

It snowed over the weekend. Snow seems to have a different effect on you when you get older. Although the sight of it is pretty, most of the thoughts that go through my head…. aren’t. When it snows, life can become a nuisance. It gets complicated, and put on hold. I parked my car in front of my house, which happens to be on a hill. Shortly after, I came out to see my car slanted with the trunk sticking out into the road. (And this is not because I’m a bad driver. Yes, I’m Chinese.) My car had slid… down the hill. But thanks to driving school, I turned the wheel when I parked and prevented my car from sliding all the way down the hill, into traffic. See, adult problems. Luckily, it usually doesn’t snow that much in Vancouver.

With the little bit of snow we got, I decided it would be nice to do an outfit post, outside, with the white stuff. Taking photos outside can be a hassle when you’re an only child. I have no one to ask to ask for help, and I refuse to set up my tripod in the cold, while strangers gawk and WTF me as they stroll by. But I do have parents. I made my dad take pictures of me with the snow. Genius. But awkward. And yes, he was all like, WTF. Oddly enough, I didn’t give him any direction. He just worked it. He must read my awesome blog. Hi, Daddy.

bunnie
