2-3 layers of natural pink. 2-3 layers of sparkles (with clear base) on the top half of your nails only. Topped off with a clear coat of polish. Which makes it look like you’ve got gel nails.

I love this look. It’s natural without being boring. How could sprinkles be boring?? But if you want something a bit more noticeable, use colored sparkles. Here’s a previous post: flakes of gold.

The NYC top coat polish, recommended to me by a friend, is amazing. It’s a quick dry polish that also helps dry the polish underneath. I use it every time I do my nails, especially if I use OPI… because OPI seems to take FOREVER to dry. But not anymore!

So my obsession with Black Shatter by OPI quickly died after I noticed that it kept chipping…. leaving my fingers looking like I just clawed away at some dirty mud wall. Gross. However, my fantasy of having a girl put black shatter on her bf’s toes while sleeping still hasn’t come true yet. Any takers??

Now for a new obsession – flakes of gold. I love it. It’s girly. It’s sparkly. It’s simple. And it kind of looks like gel nails. Just a natural pink base with a coat of shimmer, topped with gold flakes, just  on the top half. Just the way I like it. Your turn.

Hello Kitty + Sephora….

Has got to be the @#$%ing best collaboration ever. And, I must also be the @#$%ing last person to know about this. Considering that Hello Kitty is in my roots, and that we share the same birthday (Nov 1. Mark. It. Down.) I should be the FIRST to know. Right? Right.

Embarrassment from being out of the loop aside, I love this line. It’s like Hello Kitty for MAC – without the edge. But unlike Hello Kitty for MAC, I’m making sure I get my hands on the shit I want… before it becomes the shit I wish I had.

Like what? Like the brush set. Apparently the brushes suck, but the case? Too cute to not have. And the compact. And hand held mirror. And the perfume…. bottle. And nail polish… bottle. And.. all the packaging. Cute packaging and manipulative marketing makes me weak. Does anyone know if the quality of this line is actually good? Oh well, like I care.

Sephora in Richmond Center already has few of the products, but I heard Sephora in Pacific Center Downtown will be releasing the line early this week. BAM. I’m there.

Okay so my birthday passed almost 2 weeks ago but I’ve been… too lazy so busy with everything. I’m sorry but I’m really important ya know? ;)

I visited Sephora to get my set of {free} birthday lipglosses. I love free! And of course, I picked up a little this and a little that as well… although I promised myself I wouldn’t spend before my trip to LA. Oops, I did it again.

It’s tough not to spend when you see something you really want, but why not treat yourself now and then? Sure, something like a Seventy-seven Diamonds order or a new hairstyle is a big treat, but if you’re not due on holiday anytime soon, there’s no reason to scrimp and save like there’s no tomorrow….

Oh well, what the hell. It’s my birthday!
