So of course I had to fly down to Los Angeles to celebrate the 2nd birthday of my blog, because only something so outrageous and fun would do this special day justice. Go big or go home, right?

I wish. But, I did go to LA with my BFF to soak up some real California sun since Vancouver has been a disappointment so far. However, now that I’m back, we’re not doing so bad. As for the trip…I didn’t shop nearly as much as I was hoping to. That’s probably a blessing in disguise.

I didn’t realize that it was Bunnie Bar’s 2 years until it suddenly dawned on me during a conversation. Has it really been two years already?? Time flies, things change, and you get old…but apparently I’m still blogging! And… you’re still reading, which is really amazing to me. Even without readers, I might still be blogging today (probably not), but I know for a fact that it would be much less fulfilling. The interaction, comments and opportunities to meet new people locally and online is endless, and I love it. Is that too cyber geeky?

What I’m trying to say, is thank you. Thank you for reading and sharing with me. Thank you for loving it, or hating it. And for all the readers that remain nameless, thank you too. (But maybe you should say hi sometime.)

Lastly, thank you to the tripod and people who have helped me take ridiculous pictures of myself, and to the friends, especially Ian, who helped me start it all. ♥

I don’t know where this idea originated, but it’s both stupid and interesting. So here it is. I’m exposed for all of you to see.

Soon enough I’ll be substituting the sunnies for an umbrella. I’m sure the rest of Vancouver can understand. As for why I carry a book around sometimes, you never know when you’re going to be @#$%ing bored out of your mind, waiting for something or someone with nothing to do. I believe in efficiency and productivity. It helps me.

On a side note, I’ve neglected my blog for a while and I’m sorry? But I have a good excuse. I was away in Vegas for work having the time of my life. Because all I do is party, ah ah ah ah! Right… but really, I was there for my first trade show. I feel so… important, so cool, so grown up. And like a true grown up, it’s bedtime. Or is that like a true granny?

If you’re a girl who loves the glamor and glitz, then Kitty Card events  are not to be missed! And of course, you can’t show up to an event like this without some kind of girly and stylish outfit! Anybunny else ever find it extremely difficult to put together an outfit for a special event? I spent a good hour just trying on clothes in my closet.

I love layering… especially the type where you simply throw on a bunch of things and it just works out. The Zara vest was also a great investment — you can dress it up {as seen here} or dress it down for an everyday look. Versatility is definitely one of my favorite things to look for in clothing! It’s wonderful what accessories and shoes can do for an outfit!

BTW, the strap is my laptop bag. Was on the way out to do some studying!

I’m super tired from this trip – cramming in all the shopping and activities there are to do in LA over the span of a few days keeps you going, and going and going. Like the energizer bunny.  It’s true – we all need a vacation after a vacation!

Nothing beats a comfy, good looking yet effortless outfit. I admit, it was a bit cold… but it’s nothing compared to the weather we had last year here in Vancouver. 2010 is {almost} all about wearing no mittens, no scarves, no earmuffs and no multiple layers of socks.

The Creme Cup lipstick by MAC is one of my favorites. Sorry, my picture doesn’t give a true representation of the color – flash does deceiving things! {So does super shiny gloss.} So thank me for the swatch to the left, to the left. :)

What happens in Vegas, stays in Vegas….or at least most of it. What about the weight we gain from overeating? The massive hangover we carry onto the plane? The skin cells flaking off of our bodies from sunburn? (I guess some of that stays in Vegas.) The debt from gambling? Can that stay? No. Not even the hot guy you met likely stays. But there`s one thing for sure I don’t want staying in Vegas… my Bunnie Bag.

I went to Las Vegas. A long anticipated and much overdue trip with my 3 best GFs. The first time I went, which was 2 years ago, I came home with an empty wallet and a bunch of junk. So this time, I vowed to be smart about what I bought. I’m a shopaholic. I’m an impulsive shopper and I buy things everything I like because I need it. As human beings, we have to satisfy our basic needs in order to survive and for me, this is it. Note: NEEDS, not wants – there’s a clear distinction. That’s right. I’m THAT girl. My living space is stuffed with stuff, cluttered with clutter. I’ll show you one day.

So, while in Vegas, I had to be very diligent with my purchases. I was so diligent that during the first couple of days, I bought (practically) nothing at all. I had a goal in mind: to make one sensible purchase that I would be really happy about. It would have to be something glamorous yet practical, and I would have to loveit. Thoughts of the Stam bag by Marc Jacobs crossed my mind. I’ve wanted it for quite some time… but I quickly dismissed the idea – I wasn’t prepared to spend that much…

Somehow, we ended up in the Chanel store at the Bellagio hotel. Somehow, we spent what felt like centuries playing dress up with accessories and drooling over bags. And somehow, I ended up walking out with a Chanel bag accompanied by a receipt with digits triple the amount I had originally intended to spend.

So in the end, I may have broke the bank, but it was completely worth it, right? I am selflessly giving in to Chanel’s marketing efforts and stimulating the American economy.  AND over the last while Chanel bags have been appreciating, which makes it a damn good investment… an asset. Besides, I really deserve it. I didn’t buy anything else. And for a shopaholic of my calibre, that’s appalling. Every girl knows, a timeless and classic piece is always a good purchase… right?? Right. Good, I don’t feel so bad.

What happens in Vegas, doesn’t always have to stay in Vegas. So it’s okay. You can come home baby.
