Do you think I can pass for (pretend) housewives of Vancouver in this outfit? I feel like I look a little pretentious, stuck-up and high-maintenance, but I do feel fabulousss! I would wear this everyday if I could. Just kidding. I wouldn’t. Nothing beats jeans and a loose tee.

On Sunday though, I had a full pamper day. Something kind of typical of a housewife, right? Probably, but totally not typical for me. It started off by getting a mani-pedi (for $30!) with my BFF, followed by a hair cut (I asked to get too much trimmed off as usual) and my first facial ever at pHresh Spa! I felt girly. It was nice.

BTW, today. is. the. last. day. of. work. for. me. EVER. Just kidding. I wish. It is my last day, but I have a small feeling I may have to get a job or something maybe once more in my lifetime. Unless I end up being a real housewife.  Not sure if I want that either though.

Before I go, I wanted to mention that I found this new way to wear the cardigan in this post. Yes, it’s a cardigan. And because I was feeling a little extra creative, I ended up reinventing it with a vintage brooch. I’m just a little proud of myself!

just let loose

Hi everybunny!
I just created a Facebook page for my blog! Will you please LIKE it? Much appreciated! :)

frolicking

hopping

waiting like a lady

When people point out that my jeans are ripped, I tell them I got beat up. They shut up.

laughing because sitting on a bench alone is so fun

It’s starting to brighten up outside,  which is why I’ve been frolicking around, being silly and all… not that I need that to prompt any sort of weirdness to come out. I’m also happily fluttering around because in 2 days, I will be on a plane to Asia! Sometimes I get a little obsessed with working, running errands and doing all the bunnie things I have to do (and I hate to admit it, but sometimes I think I enjoy stress) but I’m more than ready to shut down my brain for a bit and just live life.

On another note, aside from going to Taipei, I’ve officially booked a flight to Hong Kong as well. I have more family + friends there, so I’m very, very excited. I visited HK when I was 5, and that was the only place I ever went to in Asia. I remember that time when…. I don’t remember anything. I should probably start packing soon. How far in advanced does one start packing? And how much should I pack? I’m clearly inexperienced in this. What should I do on the plane for 13 hours? God, I hope I can sleep. Will I be jet lagged? Is that inevitable? Can you remind me of important things I need to bring?

Help.

XO,

bunnie

Exactly one week to go before I’m off to Asia! It’s a bit surreal and I’m totally not prepared — there’s still so much to do, and seriously, so little time. April’s always a busy month with Easter (aka my 2nd birthday), and all the other real birthdays going on.

On another note, I went back to black. My hair that is. What do you think? I’ve gotten mixed opinions that it makes me look younger or makes me look older and oh-so-sophistique. I’m at that age where I’m not sure if I want to look older or younger. Problem.

One last note, I wanted to send some — birthday love to Kaz SVP – from Flagsh1p Lifestyle Inc. Wishing you a fabulous day and an amazing year. :)

Wear Else Spring Fashion Show

How’s your Monday so far? Mine was great. I had the day off. Sucker.

Wear Else Spring 2012 Look Book

Last week I had the pleasure of being a guest at the Wear Else spring fashion show, benefiting BC Women’s Hospital & Health Centre Foundation.

If you’ve peeked into Wear Else before, you’ll know they have a collection of work, play and party clothes designed by today’s most sought-after designers. It’s literally a one stop wardrobe destination for the contemporary, sophisticated, and on trend woman. If you’ve never shopped at Wear Else, hop in and you’ll see pieces by Alice + Olivia, DVF, Eli Tahari, Free People, JBrand, Pink Tartan, Rebecca Minkoff, Tibi, M Missoni… and the list goes on.

As the gorgeous models strut down the purple runway, Wear Else president and CEO Zahra Mamdani revealed the new spring collection and touched on the popular trends and styles for this season. It was a casual show but there was definitely no shortage on style! Not to mention, Zahra is super stylish and so gorgeous!

Here’s a look at some of the work, play and party outfits from the show:

I’m loving their bright colors, maxi dresses, color block pieces, florals and patterns! The spring collection is available online at WearElse.com, but they also have 3 beautiful locations – Oakridge, W. 4th, Park Royal – so you’re obviously going to pop in there when you’re in the area. Wear else would you go??

Life is a lot of things. It’s an exciting roller coaster with a dreadful drop. A romantic mystery with uncertainty. A meaningful journey, interrupted by stagnant spaces. We experience highs that motivate us, inspire us, make us appreciate what we have and laugh until tears fall hard. That same life also presents us with lows. Lows that deflate you, push you down, beat you till you fail and make you feel like life almost isn’t worth living for. Despite all the times shit hit the fan, there’s always another happy moment just a few breaths away. Life is dynamic. Things constantly change. For the better, for the worst. It is what it is. What determines the story of your life is how you handle yourself, and how you perceive your experiences.

For those times you need a boost, empowerment or just a delicious treat, My Therapy Bar has it all. The natural and gluten free chocolate bars were created by Shadi Javadi from Vancouver, with the intention of making a positive change in people’s lives and making the world better than the one she stepped into. Each bar has a story behind it — a battle, an experience, a conquest. If you don’t do anything at all, at least read the rest of the amazing and inspirational story: About My Therapy Bar.

To spread a little love and warm and fuzzies to all of you, I’m giving away two sets of My Therapy Bars! Each set contains 4 yummy bars, each with an inspirational message inside. If you can’t wait, you can pick up a bar at these locations.
