If my boyfriend wasn’t so cheap and slightly more generous, or if I had a boyfriend at all, I might find a giant present wrapped in white and gold under the tree on Christmas morning. Filled with all of the above, of course.  Um, I’m worth it.

I actually had some trouble coming up with a list of things to wish for this year. Perhaps because I’m grown up now and have different priorities and stuff like just kidding. I have been eying that gorgeous Tag Heuer and David Yurman ring for too long though. But because I’m so grown up and mature, I’m not going to do anything about it. Can you? I’ve been so nice this year.

Tis’ the season with Sephora

If I did all of my Christmas shopping at Sephora 1) my girlfriends (and some boys) would be very happy 2) I would spend 5 hours only in 1 store as opposed to 20 3) I would end up with a lot of good shit (for myself). In reality…. you probably could get a lot of holiday shopping done at Sephora. Have you seen all the holiday value sets and exclusives they have?? Ahh, I die. Here are some of my favorite sets and gifts for the season.

  1. Korres Buttered Up set in Pomegranate. Includes lip butter and lip glaze. I got it, I used it, I kissed. Everyone. With my soft, supple, lips. Yeah.  Limited edition.
  2. Urban Decay Naked Palette. This is it. THE universally flattering palatte featuring their most gorgeous colors, and their awesome eyeshadow primer as a bonus. They once had a 7 page waiting list for this. Now it’s mine. You can’t go wrong.
  3. Philosophy Funnel Cake Stand. A yummy smelling, pretty looking, versatile set of shower gels that triple up as a body wash, shampoo and bubble bath.  Limited edition.
  4. Viktor & Rolf Flowerbomb. A sweet floral awakening.
  5. Clarisonic Skincare Brush. Sonicare cleaned your teeth. Now they want to clean your face. The brush moves 300+ per second, leaving you the cleanest, healthiest looking skin you’ve ever had. It’s like sex skin. You glow.
  6. Paperself Eyelashes. Die cut falsies inspired by the art of Chinese paper-cutting. The newest concept on the market. Gorgeous.
  7. Hello Kitty Noir Palette. 25 silky eyeshadows, 10 sweet lip glosses, and oh-so-cute. How can you say no to Kitty? Limited Edition.
  8.  Nars Yorokobi Super Orgasm set. Kick it up a notch for the holidays with this gold-fleck infused peachy pink color for lips, cheeks and nails. Tis’ the season for flirting. Limited Edition.
  9. Sephora by OPI. Sparkle and glimmer. Sugar Plum Fairies Gone Wild, Traffic Stopper, Don’t be Eggnogious, Be-Claus I said so.
  10. Nails Inc. Magnetic Polish. Yes, magnetic particles in your polish can create 3D nail art… with the influence of a magnet. So revolutionary. So cool. So serious.

Soft as cotton, sweet as candy

I know it’s a little bit late. I’m known for that. But in correspondence to a previous post I did asking ya’ll to guess what I’m going to be for Halloween, and then proceeding to force people to guess because nobunny would play my game, you can finally stop ripping out your hair from trying to figure out what we were. The answer lies below…

Marquee at the Cosmopolitan, Las Vegas

Get it? Please say yes.

For the few that did share their guesses with me, thanks for being good sports. There were some creative guesses. Except for the person who guessed that we were going to be um…semen, good try though.

This was the easiest and quickest costume I’ve ever made which is good because I’m starting to get lazier and lazier with costume making each year. Kinda happens with age, I suppose. We literally took one bag of spider web cotton, stretched it out and spray painted it. The key to making it look realistic though, lies in color choice. Picking the right color is difficult and requires true talent. Luckily, I had a color picking expert help me along the way.

By this time, if you’re still wondering so WTF are you? I’ve gotta say, I’m disappointed. I had high hopes for you and your intelligence. Just kidding. Aside from being awesome, we are also….

 cotton candy!

You’re welcome.

Pop-up shop: Kove

It’s fall and apparently supposed to be one of the coldest winter’s we’ve experienced in 20 years. Local Vancouver designer Kyla Leslie was definitely in the right mind set when she opened up a pop-up shop in Mount Pleasant for Kove this month of October.

I stopped by the launch party for the fw11 collection: Forever, Autumn earlier this month to snuggle up in some cozy west coast knits in a fitting west coast inspired ambiance.

Pop by the shop when you get a chance to try on some scarves, toques and wraps — they’re only here until October 30th. And if your heart’s not set on you see, Kyla can help you create a piece that’s unique and suited to your style! It’s the perfect time to stock up and keep yourself (and anyone else who’s concerned) from turning into an icicle!

I’m giving up shopping and coffee

for 40 days and 40 nights…

WHAT?? Am I crazy? Maybe. But Lent is about giving up something that means something. As a (usually) dedicated coffee drinker and a shopping addicted nut-head, this is going to be quite the challenge.

To avoid being yelled ‘HEY cheater! You’re WEAK! You SUUUCCCK!’ on Twitter after tweeting something that goes “against” what I’m propsing, I’m going to have to set a few things straight. No shopping means… no buying for ME. Window shopping? Okay. Present shopping? Okay. Buying necessities? A must. But I’ll keep it to a minimum. Maybe I can steal toilet paper from public washrooms or something.

No coffee means…. no coffee. Easy enough.

So, it’s begun.

What are you giving up for Lent?

bunnie
