funky, bold and fresh shoes

Being in Asia, particularly Taipei, for the past 5 weeks has been amazing. Don’t get me wrong. But there’s only so much cheap street shopping and inflated designer shopping you can take…. (okay, maybe I can go for a bit more street shopping, minus the poor quality once in a while).

I’m deprived. Just a little. So I decided to satisfy that deprivation by doing a little shoe shopping… around the world. And my go to place for shoe shopping around the world… or any kind of around the world shopping for that matter? Far Fetch. Obvi. It’s addictive. Obsessive. Even if you’re just “window” shopping. (Get it? Ha.) So, while we’re at it, why not go shopping for… designer shoes?

L to R: Giuseppe Zanotti cutout sandals, Rupert Sanderson Arianna wedge, Lanvin woven block heel sandal, Pierre Hardy two-tone sandal, Aperlai amourette sandal, Azzedine Alaïa high heel sandal, Gianvito Rossi suede sandals, Giuseppe Zanotti tricolor sandal, Sergio Ross floral sandal, Ernesto Esposito peep toe sandal

The shoes. All of them. LOVE. I think being in Asia has made me more funky. More bold. (Or have I been funky and bold all along?) Style here is obviously different, and there’s a different perception of what looks “good.” Although stores like Zara, Tommy Hilfiger, Esprit, and those of luxury designers exist, there’s still little similarity between fashion here vs. fashion in North America. I hope I don’t come back looking completely out of place. ;)

(BTW, what have I been missing out on back in North America?? New fashion trends? Colors? Patterns? Is it sunny? Does JB have a new song?)

What about shoes are you loving this season?

PS. My extended vacation is ending TODAY and I’m heading back home!! :(
