wear it backwards

Oh hello! Don’t you just adore the color of this blazer? I’ve never seen anything like it. So I obviously had to get it. But not before cringing at the price tag a few times and dropping by the store to touch, feel, try repeatedly. I mean, $130 for a blazer is… a bit steep. When it’s from Jacob. But the color. And blazers are such staple pieces in my wardrobe. Tell me it’s okay, please? I don’t usually shop at Jacob, but the stupid mannequin in the window was wearing the blazer and it caught my eye. It’s a good thing I ventured in though. I ended up finding the pretty blue cuff for $4 too. Win.
The striped Zara top I’m wearing is super old. I probably got it at least 3 years ago. It was only $20. I absolutely love the ruched shoulders, but over time, I started to hate the deep, wide neckline. It made me look… wide. And flat. So, I refreshed it by wearing the top backwards. Now, the neckline is straight and sleek, and the back has a cute, slightly sexy dip. I love this top again. Except for the giant hole in the armpit.

Bright pink bunny!
Haha so adorable, and such a good idea! I’ll definitely have to try it out
the blazer is ABSOLUTELY okay! it fits so well on you! and love how you reversed the top, i always think about it, but never tried!
I think $130 for that Jacob blazer is a pretty good deal, considering it is a trendy piece too, and it looks great on you! I have the common Aritzia blazer that is around $125 (which is thinner and is of lower quality in my opinion), and Jacob seems like they’re really improving their brand, design, and marketing choices. I love that Jacob is a Canadian retailer and they have a no retouching policy in their clothing ads. And of course, I’m a big fan of Canadian fashion model Coco Rocha, who partnered with Jacob in their no retouching campaign, so I’m all for Jacob!

You’re right – I totally forgot about the Aritzia blazer. I bought one when the first came out, and the lining in the arms have holes in them. Definitely not the best quality, and also pricey. I never really shop at Jacob, but I see what you mean about changing their brand and designs. There were a lot of pieces that caught my eye when I stumbled in there! And being Canadian is a plus!
I have a safety pin holding up one pant cuff, but i guess that wouldn;t work in a sensitive area like an arm pit. The top doesn’t look backwards.

Yes, that is dangerous. I could… puncture my armpit or something!
pink, stripes, and leopard.. i love this!! you are gorgeous!!
It’s definitely okay in my books but I’m kind of an enabler so… ;)

That’s such a great way to repurpose a shirt! I should try that sometime :) I also want to try out backwards cardigans!
Your blazer looks adorable on you and totally worth the splurge. Love that pop of color! Also, nothing beats revisiting an old item from the closet. – xoxo
I had to do that the other day. My top had a V-neck cut for the back and it was too low(I have a tattoo on my back, and it was showing during work) so I had to turn it around and wear the v-neck in the front. So long the tag is hidden, I say it’s a great idea. :)
I think that pink blazer is too cute. I want.
You look great! Hmm the blazer is kinda pricy, so just wear the hell out of it and you’ll be ok! I really like your idea of wearing these types of shirts backwards. I wish more clothes were like that!
such a cute outfit! LA in august! awesome! get ready for the sunny beaches!

Well, with that gorgeous blazer on, maybe no one will notice the giant hole in the armpits. Just don’t raise the roof. :D
In love with this look. : )
